Watching Eddie saying Matchroom lost the purse bid for the fight by 15k and then saying he believes Smith knocks Beterbiev out.
Smith is big and hits hard but was super scared of being caught by a smaller Canelo. Can't see him suddenly growing some balls and going all out with Beterbiev
I think the jump up has suited him so far. Probably doesn't hit as hard as Yarde but has fought and beat more than 2 good boxers. Also a better all round fighter. Canelo may even have gone back a bit and we will probably see tonight. If John gives him a fight, which he might just do, they'll be clamouring for Canelo. I might be biased but I wouldn't write Callum off in a return. Football stadium over here . Only kidding. Re beterviev somebody might catch him at the right time if he carries on long enough. Callum might just be the one, without trying to trade with him.
Smith's height and reach is wasted on him. Fights like he is 5 feet 8 inches tall. Never fights tall.
Beterbiev re-enacts the Joe Smith Jnr fight. There is a reason that Canelo chose the boxer (Bivol) rather than the puncher (Beterbiev). That didn't end well either! Smith will find out why in a painful fashion.
