Canelo won the LHW against Kovalev (which was pretty impressive moving up weight classes). But he got outboxed by Bivol.

How would Canelo and Beterbiev play out? You would think Beterbiev would win, but I'm not 100% sure he would win by knockout. Would be really fascinating to watch though.

IMO he’s just too big and strong for Canelo. I’m not sure if he’d knock him out either, Canelo has a granite chin, great defense, and would catch him in between his shots enough to deter him from getting off with many punches.

For what its worth, if it wasn’t for the physical advantages, I’d favor Canelo as I think Beterbievs style plays into his strengths.

Do you think AB is a more winnable fight for Canelo than Bivol? I think it's safe to say that Canelo would have a more difficult time outboxing Bivol. Against AB if he can absord AB's thudding punches, which there's a good chance he could because we all agree Canelo has a granite chin and great defense. Unlike Bivol who fought off the backfoot Canelo would come forward and it could turn into a toe to toe war. We know that Canelo is good at edging rounds with flashy shots while often not throwing a large volume of punches, that could play into his favor against AB.

They beat canelo because they are Real LHW fighters

Canelo with more height and reach beats both, or at the very least is really competitive

How do you think these guys would do vs Fury or Usyk at Heavyweight if they bulked?

i think that if the rematch isnt agreed upon, you will see canelo vs biev in may 2025. im sure canelo has already got message to turki that he would take that fight.

Would favour Betebiev but obviously it would be a completely different fight stylistically for Canelo than Bivol.

A bridge too far just like the Bivol fight. Not saying he has no shot at winning, i think he has a better chance than he should against a monster Iike that. The only thing that will play into his favor will be that AB will not move nearly as much as Bivol. On the other hand a war in this fight could be the beginning of the end of his career.....

Beterbiev KOs Clenelo 100 out of 100 times

The Bivol that will emerge after this robbery will make canelo quit boxing if they ever meet in a rematch

Beterbiev is the only guy from 160-175 that I'd pick to stop Canelo.

Stylistically a much better matchup for Canelo, yes. He might be able to beat Beterbiev if Beterbiev declines a bit more, although I think Canelo is also on the decline for what it's worth.

I have little doubt that both Bivol and Canelo would get beaten up and likely stopped by a prime Beterbiev though, due to the size difference. Beterbiev is a big LHW.

I wouldn't count Canelo out, But we would most likely get DB-Beter first before we get Beter-Canelo.
