He just turned 32 and these days top level boxers are in their prime beyond 35 years of age. AB has been moved quickly and for 11 pro fights and fought decent competition as of late. I guess your blindness prevents you from seeing what a power puncher looks like. Your famous quote that Marciano lacked one punch KO power says it all. And before you ripped Matthews!!! Now you are using his name to build up a fat boy. http://boxrec.com/boxer/646981
Lack of Desire, wrong kind of focus, burn out and just plain rotten luck must all be overcome for any fighter to reach his potential. Dismissing any full time professional for not making the grade, particularly a decorated amateur fighter who made the grade internationally and fought his way into the pro ratings as being cowardly and glass jawed is very short sighted and lazy. The notion of a glass Jaw is largely a fallacy invented by lazy journalists who never participated as boxers. There are many contributing factors associated with a knockout like wear and tear, being over matched, slow reactions or a lack of concentration before deciding on something as ridiculous as a "glass" jaw. If glass jaws existed how would a fighter survive his first sparring session? It is an insulting slur created by people who don't understand the logic of boxing. Punch resistance can be reduced over time but that is only after a fighter has already proven to be able to initially take punches well enough to take up boxing as a profession. Audley Harrison got knocked out a few times. His resistance appeared worse after the first initial knockout he suffered. For a lot of fighters this is normal. He fought in the heavyweight division where a lack of concentration can be potentially lethal at any level. Audley was far too lackadaisical and dismissive of his early opposition. Harrison was far too involved in the managerial side of his early pro career to benefit from any real pro seasoning. He paid a price. But if he was truly "glass jawed" if this condition even existed, he never could have won a Gold medal. If he were truly cowardly he never would have won a Gold medal. Please leave labels like "cowardly" and "glass jawed" (that were invented from outside the boxing community) Well and truly out side of the boxing community. There are no cowards in boxing and no fighter was born with a glass jaw.
Lol. So true. I'd flip this conversation on our friends in the U.K. or Anti Eastern Euro posters who wins Cockrell vs
