    The guy already has 3 losses and should have had a 4th loss against Vlasov too

    Bob Arum is trying to milk the public with this crude slugger Joe Smith but sooner rather than later he'll get violently stopped like everyone else by Beterbiev.

    I believe he has the ability to pull off the upset. This could be the "Rocky" movie come to life. I want nothing but upsets in 2021.

    I just want justice and to see everyone get chinned by Beterbiev.

    Yeah I’m still not seeing anyone in that division beating beterbiev. Unless he gets old

    He looked old in his last fight. I think therefore these big talks about Beterbiev beating had started.
    Before this from notable champs only Gvozdyk had balls to fight vs Beterbiev with decent time for Beterbiev's pre fight training camp and without huge pack with clauses.

    It's an absolute disgrace this fight isn't taking place now and we're being denied a unification match up for all three belts in favour of a mandatory defence followed by a defence against a 168 pounder who has only had two fights at that weight after moving up from 160 one of which he should've lost. E-Hearn has decided to throw a load of DAZN's money Smith's way in order for him to defend against a SMW which delays and possibly completely sabotages any chance of this mouthwatering three belt unification match up between two of the sport's premier punchers of ever coming to fruition.

    E-Hearn is on very good terms with Bivol's people World of Boxing and he obviously still has some input in his career because he has been and is still lining up opponents for him so why not Smith vs Bivol instead of this pointless defence against 168 pounder Jacobs? That would be a three-belt unification match up too and it would not only afford both Bivol and Smith the opportunity to unify but it would afford Smith the opportunity to exact revenge on Bivol for the points loss he suffered to him in 2019.

    And if Smith doesn't want to fight Beterbiev yet why not rematch Valsov instead of Jacobs considering he came to his country and was robbed by the US judges in many people's eyes?

    Smith Jr has found his ceiling and is totally aware of his limitations now. He just wants to milk the belt and make as much $$$ as possible. Most likely its his only real shot to make life changing money for him and family and he'll take the path of least resistance to get there.

    Beterbiev = one solid payday

    Salamov + Jacobs + Beterbiev = three solid paydays.

    Happy wife and happy life.

    It's actually E-Hearn I'm most mad at here for throwing that bag of gold in Smith's direction in order to lure him into fighting 168 pounder Jacobs and thus scuppering plans for the mouthwatering three-belt unification match up between two of the biggest punchers in the sport.
