This is how you build a legacy in boxing, by testing yourself against the best. Massive respect to Johnson if he has indeed taken this fight. Still TBC.

Deep end and being thrown in spring to mind but I commend the step up and the need to challenge ones self

He’s had more fights than him so it’s hardly the deep end. Beterbiev will probably prove to be levels above but if you don’t buy a ticket...

    Beterbiev is very beatable

Btw not confirmed only ordered but saying that if Hearn gets the deal done it’ll be two fingers up at warren which he would love

Just because he as had a few more fights would you say them extra fights for Johnson sre on the same level as artur
    There's levels to this shyte
Artur is the more experienced fighter and this will show
Hence deep end not alot out there want to challenge artur

Beterbiev has been so poorly managed throughout his career, 33 years old and only what, 12 fights?

Johnson could lose this in two rounds and still come out with a respect level infinitely higher than Anthony Yarde. Yarde and Warren are becoming an embarrassment. How long BT will allow them to get away with it should be interesting. My guess is not much longer.

Callum Johnson has overcome a lot of adversity with a 18 month layoff due to injury and the death of his dad who mentored Callum. He seems to be more genuine than the fake Yarde. He might not win if the fight goes ahead but i am sure he will go down swinging.

I have seen many British fighters be overmatched in world title fights with no chance of winning, like Brian Rose and Lee Purdy. The difference with Johnson is he a has an equaliser that gives him a chance of winning. I don't think he would win but he would have a wee chance at very least with his punch power.

Get the wallet out Eddie bring this to the UK. I'd go to the O2 to see it, could be a great event if you had it Co main event with say Whyte - Pulev
