Beterbiev wasnt a draw then & still isnt one to this day also hes been plagued with constant injuries, cancelled fights, long layoffs, etc.
A fair shake? The fight would never have went the distance with Kovalev more than likely winning by ko.
Kovalev felt screwed over in his two amateur bouts vs Beterbiev & was frothing at the mouth to face him. You can bet your butt he would have exacted his revenge as he was very vocal on wanting Beterbiev brought to him as a future squared circle sacrifice.

 

The same way Gvozdyk took revenge on Beterbiev from their amateur fight?

 

Many things wrong with this.

First of all it was an 8 rounder.

Secondly no one hyped Browne up to beat Beterbiev.

Thirdly a Pascal who was considered shot for 3 years managed to beat this same Browne.
