it seems to me GGG would have never taken that fight. I think Beterbievs power would be too much for him
The few comments in this thread should help people understand why it's such a big deal to move up weight classes and still win. There's a certain point where skill dies in the face of size and strength.
To be honest the hype that Beterbiev is getting now kinda reminds me of the Golovkin hype before the Jacobs fight. People were making it out that Golovkin was an otherworldly, generational power puncher. But idk maybe by now Beterbiev has proven his power more than Golovkin ever did. As for who would win in a fight... most fights at light heavy would he bad for Golovkin. There is a reason he (rightfully) never went to super middle. Beterbiev bashes his head in. KO 6.
Golovkin was never going to move to 168 even if the likes of Plant and Saunders held belts. He would have more than a fair chance of beating Froch or Groves, but only if it gave him a lot of $. Dude has signed up for a whooping at 168 this September for the bag.
Similar fighters, GGG more skills, maybe better chin, never been over ,dipped or really woobly in Amateurs or Pro but Artur is a seasoned amateur & has not rushed his Pro career , I know he had injuries etc bit even so he has taken his time so to me that suggests winning is more important than money. If @ LH Artur, if MW GGG. Both tremendous sportsmen unlike hyperbole screaming look at me (we are) Charlo, Davis Broner type of fools...Boxers who care about the sport of Boxing & not the $ £ Hype show bling bling ******* thing...
I didn't say anyone "Had " to do anything Pumpkin, nowntakenthat wet nappy off , you'll get a rash like ya mowt...
