A flush Callum Johnson left hook would literally send Roy to the shadow realm. The other KD was a balance issue. Beterbiev's chin is infinitely more sturdy than that pathetic excuse for one the boxing gods cursed Roy with Roy was knocked out in the amateurs by an Irish leprechaun named John Reid and dropped heavily by featherfist Lou Del Valle Enjoy Never seen any fighter in the history of hand to hand combat getting sparked out so easily from nothing shots Roy spent his entire prime avoiding savage punchers like they had leprosy and he was knocked out by 90% of all the actual punchers he faced in his career. At LHW Roy couldn't stop Anthony Hanshaw Prince Badi Ajamu Julio Cesar Gonzalez David Telesco 400,000 y/o Mike McCallum Reggie Johnson Anthono Tarver Lou Del Valle The only person who would be getting a hiding would be Roy. Beterbiev would literally pound Roy into dog food and feed him to his own pits
Because, unlike moribund old lady's mandible Roy, he actually has a very good chin and he's fought lots of punchers not avoided them like they had leprosy. You think Roy is taking Beterbiev's shots? Even ones which brushed or grazed him would spark him out cold for a fortnight and don't think he wouldn't land either. He categorically would and it's a wrap as soon as he does.
In my opinion it goes like this: it should be judged whether Peak RJJ was in the SMW category, or in the LHW category. If Peak RJJ was in the SMW category, then Beterbiev is the favorite in this fight. If Peak RJJ was in the LHW category, then RJJ is the favorite in this fight. I don't know enough about boxing to judge that.
Tarver, McCallum, Johnson, Del Valle, were very durable fighters though. They were never stopped in their entire career to my knowledge. And Gonzalez was only stopped once in 40+ fights at the end of his career. And apart from Telesco all the other fighters you mentioned, was when Jones was finished as a fighter. So that's not really relevant to this discussion when were talking about both fighters in their prime.
He took some solid shots from Yarde who planted his feet and let bombs go, Roy will be on the move and fighting tentatively.
Beterbiev is far more solid than McCallum was at 38 or at 175, McCallum looked out of shape compared to Beterbiev and smaller.
I'm not saying he wasn't my point was that McCallum was very durable, so Jones not being able to stop McCallum who Jones carried towards the end. Is not really a knock against Jones when McCallum was never stopped in his entire career.
Beterbiev by KO. Roy was a great MW but wasn’t a legit LH. Beterbiev knocks out Jones, Tarver, Glen Johnson. Beterbiev is a brute and he has underrated boxing skills. He gets hit but has an iron jaw, and is immensely strong. The more I see him fight, the more impressed I am with his ability. He was a little rusty a couple fights ago after a long layoff but if he stays active he’s a monster.
Artur would crack Roy the **** out worse than Tarver or Johnson did. Beterbiev would probably get to him middle rounds after he figures him out and gets the timing. No way Jones is staying upright in this.
Clearly you are basing this off a past prime Jones. Prime Jones speed, power and movement would be a nightmare for Beterbiev.
