Okay I'll give you that, but if we are on the topic of brutal KOs and people who CAN KO... Whyte takes the cake for dropping previously undropped, undefeated opponents. Just dont want to see people over hyping Usyk and Fury as KO artists, when they aint. Be real
Bro I'm Whyte's second biggest fan on here, I'm aware how hard he hits I agree that neither are KO artists, but Usyk can punch at CW, looked like a Featherfist at HW against Witherspoon. Fury has never been and never will be a KO artist. He has no power at world level.
I don't think Artur can compete against the top heavies. Ruiz, AJ, Wilder, all stop him. Fury UDs him. Parker and Whyte likely beat him too. Artur vs Chisora would be the most winnable relevant fight Id think.... anf not even sure he beats Chisora.
I know George, I am merely writing for the benefit of the twats on here that deny the truth you and me believe in. They need cleansing.
He’s a LHW and a good one. Doesn’t mean he can take his game two classes north. That’s a huge jump and I don’t think he can compete, even with the smaller guys. Ruiz is pretty quick and has power to give AB major problems. Plus AB is no spring chicken. Isn’t he early 30’s? I think it would be dangerous and really dumb for anyone Beterbievs size to even think about moving north of his current division. Even cruisers are too big. Why do people always want to see guys fight outside their natural weight?
He wouldn't be able to rag doll these big HW's around like he does these guys at 175lbs. However, who knows how strong he really is? He seemed comfortable against Usyk who people believe will be THE man. Another thing is this, I would hate to get into a shootout with this guy close up because his short-range punches are so devastating.... But, too small for anyone above Usyk sized. These smaller 6ft2 220lb HW's I think he could be comfortable against.
Usyk beats Beterbiev handily these days if they were to meet. Even at cruiser it’s not a good fight for Beterbiev. Usyk by easy mid round KO. No shame to AB, they have weight classes for a reason.
He gave Usyk 2 very close and tough fights up at HW which weight wise = CW in the pros He also beat Michael ''The Bounty'' Hunter Jr. who campaigned at SHW for many years and harvested the soul of the current three-belt unified king Andy Ruiz He also beat 2016 Olympic silver medalist (albeit it shoud've been gold because he was robbed blind) Vasiliy Levit This years silver medalist in the World Championships Julio Castillo World amateur bronze medalist Abdulkadir Abdullayev who KO'd 2 x World Amateur champion & 2 x Olympic silver medalist Clemente Russo. Abdullayev also beat Joseph Parker in the WSB Artur also beat World Amateur bronze medalist Wang Xuanxuan and stopped that Mexican dude Hrgovic just fought last time out Mario Herrera in a round Here's his HW record albeit missing a few fights. As you can see he stopped quite a few of them even though he was undersized at that weight 2012 Chemistry Cup (Halle, GER) 1st place 91KG Won against Wang Xuanxuan (CHN) AB 3rd round in the final; Won against Julio Castillo (ECU) 14:5 in the semi-final; Won against Elber Passos (BRA) RSC 3rd round in the quarter-final; Won against Johann Witt (GER) 14:9 in the first preliminary round 2012 International Team Tournament (Almaty, KAZ) 1st place 91KG Won against Aleksey Sevostyanov (KAZ) AB 2nd round; Won against Suliman Abdourachidov (FRA) WO; Won against Manpreet Singh (IND) RSC 3rd round 2011 AIBA World Championships (Baku, AZE) 5th place 91KG Lost to Oleksandr Usyk (UKR) 17:13 in the quarter-final; Won against Djakhon Kurbanov (TJK) AB 2nd round in the second preliminary round; Won against Mario Heredia (MEX) AB 1st round in the first preliminary round 2011 Umakhanov Memorial Tournament (Makhachkala, RUS) 1st place 91KG Won against Jose Angel Larduet (CUB) WO in the final; Won against Abdulkadir Abdullayev (AZE) 11:3 in the semi-final; Won against Reza Moradkhani (IRN) RSCI 1st round in the quarter-final 2011 Russian National Championships 1st place 91KG Won against Abdulkhamid Nurmagomedov (RUS) 15:4 in the final; Won against Arbi Madayev (RUS) WO in the semi-final; Won against Spartak Bakhtiyarov (RUS) AB 2nd round in the quarter-final 2011 Great Silk Way Tournament (Baku, AZE) 1st place 91KG Won against Teymur Mammadov (AZE) WO in the final; Won against Vasiliy Levit (KAZ) 3:0 in the semi-final; Won against Sarkhan Jabbarov (AZE) KO 1st round in the quarter-final 2010 Russian National Championships 2nd place 91KG Lost to Pavel Nikitayev (RUS) 12:3 in the final; Won against Abdulkhamid Nurmagomedov (RUS) AB 2nd round in the semifinal; Won against Pavel Shulskiy (RUS) WO in the quarterfinal Q: Oleksandr, you won most everything as an amateur, including the gold at the 2012 Olympics. Who would you say gave you your hardest fight as an amateur? Oleksandr Usyk: “Well, all those fights, they all took place within the last couple of years or so, so it’s hard to say. Maybe, if I was pushed to say, it was Artur Beterbiev of Russia who gave me my roughest fight. He is very aggressive and he does hit very hard. This content is protected
