Beterbiev vs Smith (Smith by brutal KO)

I do have the Ryder and Canelo fights in mind, maybe it is the weight drained version in my head. I don't think his chin is suspect and maybe "fragile" is the wrong word, but I doubt his ability to take Beterbiev's body shots.

Smith will be doing his best Cleverly imitation.

 

I could easily see Beterbiev brutally knocking out Smith early. Possibly beat him so badly that Smith never fights again. Beterbiev is a brute, immensely strong and mean. He also has a tendency to hit behind the head as he did several times in the Gvoz fight. Ref apparently didn’t see any of those obviously bad shots.

The only guy who beats Beterbiev at LH is Bivol. Bivol is too skilled and too smart, and fresher. It’s still a great fight but I would favor Bivol in a tough matchup. Smith has no chance.

 

One of his main sparring partners so obviously they have some sort of friendship/professional relationship going on, but several guys who have sparred with or been in camp with Beterbiev have said very similar things.

 

Well, I was feeling pretty confident in Beterbiev, even if I did think the fight would be a bit more difficult than some. But then I saw this.

And since it's clear there's some force in the universe that thrives on setting boxing fans up for disappointment, I'm now sure Smith will prevail somehow

Smith lost to canelo big time, not because canelo was faster than him ,canelo was physically way stronger. What do you think will happen in the beterbiev fight???!!
Beterbiev is a physical beast and probably as strong and heavy as the top cruisers.
I think Beterbiev will utterly destroy and walk through smith, it will be fun to see.
Gvozdyk who is levels better than Smith couldn't hold up the pressure. Gvozdyk is tall, faster, stronger and technically better than Smith.
