Beterbiev is no Canelo he’s pretty basic really but has huge power. Tough one to call really but smith at 7/2 is decent odds.
Tbf to smith he is very good at that catch and counter left hook, he’s been hurting people with that since the amateurs so Beterbiev will have to be careful with that but agreed, I think smith will start getting bullied in there before he’s stopped, not convinced about smiths’s heart either, he absolutely shat it against Canelo, when he feels the power he might shell up and look to survive again
This content is protected Beterbiev found with elevated levels of certain metabolites in his system, not high enough however to record a AAF. A non-story or someone coming off a cycle by the skin of their teeth? Any other examples of VADA reporting elevated levels found in a boxer but no violation?
Let’s hope not, but his 1 year inactivity could mean he was seeing out a 12 month ban on the quiet. I read some stories about him having elevated levels during the summer last year too.
So he's nearly failed a drug test? Not quite failed one? Stinks of jargon that's been fine toothed combed by lawyers that.
It was twice and it was just on social media, but from a loosely credible sources like Benson, Coppinger etc or it was on Boxing Scene. Being a Beterbiev fan and despising drugs in sport I remember shaking my head at it. Sorry I know it’s woolly, but I can’t nail it down.
Vada are the best drug testing agency in the world. They don't hide failed tests for anyone, they brought down Canelo Alvarez. If Vada say Beterbiev hasn't failed a test, I believe them.
May as well just let them juice and let big pharma sponsor the athletes. In the tale of the tapes list down what gear both fighter has been on. Turn it into something to determine bets
Absolutely nobody should be surprised by the Beterbiev elevated levels. All the elite guys are on stuff all the way through to your journeymen types
It has... I'd love to see Callum do it but i think Beterbiev has 2 or 3 top performances in him and i think he still has too much in the tank still for Smith to overcome.
