He could have fought again thatnight, let alone 4 months later.

So much of his prime wasted.

Yarde is about to get 5 more years beaten off of his career.

Frank announced Joyce Parker at Fury Whyte...and it never went ahead.. Now Frank now says an arena has been "booked" for Beterbiev Yarde. I'm just skeptical whatever that bitter man says.

    Yeah but Parker ducked.

Beterbiev wouldn't duck Yarde and Yarde might be delusional enough not to avoid Beterbiev. But if it doesn't go ahead it's because he fights Bivol instead

Oh, that's disappointing, I almost got excited there thinking this would align with the rumoured Fury comeback in October.

Double bill of Fury and Beterbiev? I would eat humble Queensberry pie.

He has a 37-38 y/o three-belt unified champion, whose career has already been been blighted by far too much inactivity due to injury, illness and promotional disputes, who only needs one more piece of the puzzle to achieve his dream. The owner of that final piece of the puzzle, like Beterbiev, wants the fight, is apparently free to fight next and if they don't do it next is contractually bound to fight a rematch against the sport's cash cow. But Bob had already made plans for Artur to fight the completely undeserving Yarde in his backyard who hasn't beaten anyone with pulse above domestic level and other than a way past prime Kovalev and domestic/Euro level Lyndon Arthur who he's 1-2 against has fought nothing but trash.

Why on earth would your own promoter not want to make the fight for undisputed next given all the above? Even if Artur was ten years younger and his career hadn't been blighted with long spells of inactivity and was smack bang in the midst of his prime the right thing for a promoter to do in this situation would be to make the fight if they had their client's best interests at heart. In the event Bivol were to lose to Buatsi or Clenelo he would still have to deal with E-Hearn because both are both E-Hearn fighters

No point in this fight. If he can't get Bivol next, just move up. He is too old to be taking pointless fights or sitting around doing nothing.

His only notable win is against Lyndon Arthur which is domestic level, yeah he's way overrated.

He's paid per fight so he wants to earn as much as possible before he gets old.
