I understand this new BT/Discovery merger has given Frank significant financial backing. I know someone in Telecoms and apparently they see Boxing as a route to drive subscriptions from Skys customer base which a fight of this magnitude will certainly help. They are probably no doubt happy with the revenue Fury is bringing in and now Joyce has broken through, if those 2 were to fight back end of next year it would do huge nos.
He would have lost a lot of money. Fury Wilder III only did 300,000 buys in the UK. They never released the PPV buys for Fury Whyte or Joyce Parker either.
It wouldn't lose money as long as the purses were tied to the PPV revenue - I suspect guarantees would get in the way and the boxers would prefer a BT-backed guarantee with no up or downside attached...
I think Yarde last longer than Johnson but other than that I can't see past a Beterbiev stoppage, it's what he does.
Hearn constantly questions other promoters then looks silly 3 months on when the thing he claimed wouldn't happen, does. ‘Fury Whyte won’t do 90k tickets’ ‘Wilder Fury won’t happen’ ‘Beterbiev Yarde won’t happen’
I think Beterbiev wins, but I think Yarde will lose well if that makes sense. Eubank vs Smith is a cross roads fights. It is a shame a fight with 0 titles etc can now be a PPV without any question
