reason why? beterbiev hits harder than kovalev but thats not overly important ,what is ,is wards tactics which include a lot of wrestling would play right into beterbievs hands

Beterbiev is from dagastan, same place Khabib Nurmagomedov is from, the ufc sambo fighter who while not a very well rounded fighter, possesses basically super human strength and once he grabs you, you might as well quit because you will get manhandled

beterbiev is like a stand up version of him, in the clinch he manhandles you, beterbiev is maybe the only boxer iv seen seriously hurt opponents from punches while still clinching

kovalev beat ward but beterbiev would destroy him.

Also gvodsyk and bivol in the mix too, its hotting up

Whilst I thought Kovalev won last night, I came away thinking that both Beterbiev and Gvodsyk beat the Andre Ward of last night.

Gvozdyk, Beterbiev and Bivol are the future of the LHW division.
I hope that Ward stays active and defends his title against one of them.

No way Gvozdyk can beat Ward now. At least NOW. In the future, who knows, but now he's not mature enough to stand a single chance vs ward. Not a single chance.

The same goes for beterbiev. Winning to Ward is a matter of knowledge, a knowledge that you cannot have with 10 fights. Easy as that.

Beterbiev wouldn't win a round against Ward. Too slow, too predictable.
