Then you're not a real fan the sport of boxing but only a fan of certain fighters, which is a huge problem today. You don't want to see the best fight the best you only want to see certain fighters fight who you want them to fight. Because if you were a true fan of the sport you'd be salivating at a fight between Beterbiev and Bivol.

 

Stevenson was ancient when he fought Gvozdyk, thus that win doesn't mean Gvozdyk is a great fighter.

Gvozdyk tagged Beterbiev often in their fight, but he can't hit hard enough to KO Beterbiev. Canelo has a high chance of knocking out Beterbiev. Beterbiev is too slow. And he is 37.

 

So a 6ft2 natural LHW who put a former opponent into a coma couldnt KO Beterbiev but a 5ft7 roided former middleweight can?

Gvozdyk might be an even tougher matchup for Canelo than Beterbiev because of his height and reach.

Gvozdyk would crush everybody on Canelos resume. Mayweather, Lara, GGG, Vodkalev, Plant, Saunders. They all get thrashed by Gvozdyk. Beterbiev would do the same too.

@iii @tinman Think Canelo vs Beterbiev as Mike Tyson vs Frank Bruno. Canelo may be shorter but hits harder than Gvozdyk.

 

Maybe Canelo doesn't want this because Beterbiev fight won't generate much money, because Beterbiev is a lesser known boxer to the rest of the world?
