Beterbiev has had a bit of a reputation as a glass cannon. And Bivol has had a reputation for being a mediocre puncher. In their fight Bivol landed numerous hard flush punches straight on the jaw. And it did absolutely nothing whatsoever to Beterbiev. I recall in round 7 Bivol landed a flush overhand right straight on Beterbiev's face and it had absolutely zero effect on AB. It stood out because AB didn't even move, just nodded his head like "nice punch". What can we attribute this to? Is AB's chin underrated? Or Bivol actually a featherfist?
Bivol admited that he was trying to hurt him, so he was more grounded to have power in his shots. It still did not helped
Beterbiev has a great chin. IDK why you think he doesn't. Bivol is generally a light puncher but he can hit with authority when he sits on his punches. Generally either the guy with the great chin has to be hit with something he doesn't see coming or he has to be knackered for punches to have an effect.
Bivol in his last 10 fights scored 1 TKO and that was against a guy the promoters got him to do so to hype his fight against Beterbiev.
LOOKED suspect, it's now been solidified as an adamantium chin, Bivol hit him with the kitchen sink several times and beterbiev managed to recover after looking as flustered as he always looks when hit clean in a couple of seconds. Bivol cracked beterbiev this fight, he def has proven his chin to me
