One day the boxing gods will descend upon earth, and 7.3% of them will vote for Primo. Then we’ll see who’s laughing.

Jesus Christ thank you. Carnera was horrible. Bowe would have mutilated him

This is not about a H2H discussion but concerning their overall abilities- Primo is his superior in quite a number manners it is hard to admit it but its true.

Yeah. I don't get how people can even find him a decent yet underrated fighter as they tend to label him. Terrible, just terrible. My dad once commented on his fighting: "He seems like he's just learning how to box." He would have lasted no more than 6 with Bowe, and it would have been a slaughter to be sure.

I applaud your objectivity Kamikaze, but the result of either discussion is the same: Bowe.

Not bad, but Loughran was a light heavyweight.

True, but that didnt stop him from beating Sharkey, Baer, Uzcudun, and SHWs Cobb, Campolo and Impelletiere.

I agree. Carnera accomplished a darn lot for someone who I still maintain was not a good fighter. It's all behind his brutish power though.

Is “brutish power” really a term you’d use to describe Carnera?

How else would you describe power that solely comes from being 6 foot 6 and weighing 265 pounds?

He might’ve had size and strength going for him but he definitely wasn’t able to translate it into punching power. Even his most avid supporters would not use the term “brutish power” to describe him.
