One thing I will say about Rademacher Frazier (who appeals to me at some quirky level, I admit): His mere existence would probably lower Carnera's historical standing. He would be the ultimate argument that resume depth, longevity, and all that jazz don't mean jack. Some random 0-0 dude can beat up The Greatest (who then probably proceeds to regain the heavyweight championship, mind you) without any of that.

Carnera's alleged fixed fights, if demonstrated, would be a further nail in the coffin. Carnera and his managers sell their souls to the mob, threaten rivals, fix fights, matchmake like mad, train Carnera to the bone...and here's this amateur who kicks the crap out of Ali as a lark, just to promote his band.

I kind of want to know now where the forum would actually rank Rademacher Frazier if he was real.

Make a thread- I have the time to help beat back the cowards that would question our majesty.

It just occurred to me that this would be the most Baby Boomer response imaginable. Like Rademacher Frazier is taking in the zeitgeist through an I.V.

Well what does it tell you that they saw the #2 rated heavyweight contender as a safe fight for him?

Loughran was a very successful contender at heavyweight.

The fact that eh had stepped up from a lower weight class, is not particularly important in my opinion.
    I disagree.

I think that Schaff probably died at the absolute pinnacle of his career.
Why would you think that I would attach a lot of importance to the outcome of a poll?

Most of the people voting in it would not know who Schaff was, and they would vote for Hide or Tubbs solely on the fact that they understood the significance of their careers, while they did not understand the significance of Schaff's.
I do not think that Carnera would beat Holyfield, but I would make him favorite over anybody else on Bowe's resume.

Whole lot of Hyperbole. He was no threat to Carnera because he was tiny and had no power he was the perfect opponent rank or not he was the best option.

Schaff amounted to nothing- just like nearly everyone Carnera beat. He was outboxed by Baer and a journeyman what a peak.

Think about the question you asked for a second.

You have presented me with a fighter who has only one good win.

How highly do you rank James Douglas on your list of all time heavyweights?

Where would you have had Tyson Fury, if he had stayed retired after the Klitschko fight?

Thing is Douglas didn’t have one of the best wins ever. If you’ve watched film of Tyson you’d know.

Douglas proceeded to fizzle into nothing anyway- Frazier beat the GOAT. Don’t try and do mental back flips.

I want to iterate- you think Carnera ranks over someone whom has just one win over the GOAT? Yes or no.

I will grant you that it was a good choice on the part of Carnera's management, but that doesn't devalue the win in my eyes.

Loughran was still one of the best fighters of the era.
OK, so he lost to a man who was arguably the best heavyweight in the world, and picked up a loss to a contender.

Not particularly damning in my eyes.
