Better All Around Fighter: Riddick Bowe or Vitali Klitschko?

Not like you have any personal feelings about this then.
I'm not a fan, myself. But, Bowe was a better all-round fighter than Vitali, in my opinion.

Yes - respect to Rahman. I like a good competitor, who strives to succeed and Rahman did that, often against the odds, in my book. But, he wasn't on the elite level.

I'd say Bowe. Bowe when in shape and focused had ATG ability. Could fight behind the jab, infight,had good speed and power with a real mean streak. Vitali K was a typical European style fighter, not fluid, stood usually straight up stiff jab, very good power with the right hand, average hooks and uppercuts, very cautious fighter. Bowe really didn't capitalize on his natural ability, he could've and should've been so much more. So from that standpoint Vitali K. was a much better fighter because he did with his.

 

Bowe was the type of fighter whose ability looked great against overmatched opposition. However he had a very low ring IQ, leaky defense, and poor habits.
I'd give Bowe the edge in punch variation, hand speed, and inside fighting.
Vitali better at outside fighting, judging distance, utilizing his strengths and chin and stamina.
Vitali had the better career and I'd pick him over Bowe in a fight.
Ability wise it's a toss up depending on what you're looking for.

 

Even emanuel steward who trained lewis and wlad would agree that bowe is the better all around fighter.

I asked again as i was trying to find the relevance of your link. I said "When someone destroys your face like that you've lost, simple." You replied with that link. I asked if you implied the damage was worse than Klits and you talked about bleeding like a stuck pig. This means very little in regards to how bad an actual injury is and where it is located.

Agree a case can be made for Lewis at 3. Vitali absolutely not top 10.

Disagree with strategic choices benefiting Lewis. He was hardly running around scared of people and if they fought at different times there's every chance Lewis might be even greater. In short others may have benefited, we'll never know.

 

So are you inferring Bowe had a better career than Vitali? If so that's your opinion, but I'm sure most would disagree, Bowe's biggest win was Holyfield the only fighter on his resume that anyone would consider an ATG a natural cruiserweight . And he was life and death against him. I never said once Vitali was an ATG or that any fighter on his resume was" top 20". I was only writing what should be obvious, and that was Klischko did more with his talent, than Bowe did with his. If your too dumb to understand that, I'll break it down for you. Bowe was an immensely talented fighter, and if he had the dedication of A Holyfield, we'd be debating his place in the top 5 heavy's of all times. Vitali didn't possess that type of physical ability, though he had great dedication. So does that make sense too you?

He was a P4P ranked lineal undisputed HW champion. Ring rated fighter of the year 1992. Won Ring fight of the year 1992.
Holds the best win at the weight since 1992.

What are Vitali's accomplishments? He was what Deontay Wilder is right now.. Does Wilder have a greater career than Bowe as well?.

The only dumfuq around here is you.. You say you're going to break down how Vitali done more with his talent , then immediately go on to talk about Bowe and Holyfield.
Vitali did nothing but beat the same style of bum over and over again. He never faced a varied range of styles. He fought small un-athletic guys who walked forward in a direct line.
He fought in a woeful era and only managed to beat about 20% of what was on offer. His brother handled the rest.
So how did he capitalize on his talents better than Bowe??

 

Some on this site think their opinion should be shared by the rest of the world. But fortunately for the rest of the world and on this site, some disagree. Bowe wasn't defensively sound at all. Great arsenal, great offense. But far from being a complete fighter.
