Better All Around Fighter: Riddick Bowe or Vitali Klitschko?

Bowe is overrated. You can't fight in the 90s and miss Tyson, Lewis, McCall, Morrison, Mercer Foreman, and so on.
Yes he has a great win over Holyfield but outside of him he really missed the boat.
He looked good but Golota wiped the floor with him and he was done by 29.
He made Ring magazine's list of top 20 all time heavies. I thought it was a reach to give him that. Wasted talent and Eddie Futch agreed

 

like vitali fighting in the 10s but not beating byrd povetkin haye valuev chaegev, stiverne. (not to mention the 00s listof not beating lewis and tyson!)

now that is even a weaker list by far - underlining that your point was completely self destructive and you ought to retract it in order to save the pluses of the rest of your post.

 

I wasn't speaking on Vitali only Bowe. Consensus is the 90s was a strong era for heavyweights yet Bowe missed all the big names save Holyfield. It's inescusable.
As for Vitali his resume is not that strong not nearly as good as his brother but he still managed to fight Peter, Arreola, Johnson, Adamek, Sanders, and in a losing effort a good fight with Lewis.
His resume is deeper than Bowe's. And he actually came back from a major injury and was able to stay in shape and continue his career.

then why the hell arent you speaking about them both, this thread ASKS us directly to compare them. if you want a thread exclusively talking about vitali start your own - dont comment on a bowe vs vitali thread expecting just vitali input, for goodness sake. what a strange reply from u!

in ONE post, you've gone from the point of posting who someone DIDNT fight to instead who they DID fight.
make your mind up about what you want to argue!

as has been said - vitali missed as many "major" opponents as bowe, and of weaker substance too. U've said nothing to refute this.

He actually had the reverse effect, as he wasn't knowledge or tactful enough to make a good hater type. People just laughed at him. Still, I was okay with him.

He never got personal until very recently.
