Bowe has much the superior skill set it's not even funny. However, boxing isn't just about skill and Vitali's a big, tough awkward *******, who uses his substantial size very well. I have to vote for Bowe for being a better rounded fighter but I have no doubt that Vitali would beat Bowe every day of the week had they ever fought.

I think Bowe was the more skilled of the two but Vitali was harder to beat due his style. So for me if it's technique l'd go with Bowe but if it's results l'd go with Vitali.

Vitali was the better fighter. No man won more than 3 consensus rounds vs him on any of the official judges cards.

The two do share some common opponents.

Bowe looked sluggish taking Larry Donald the distance. Vitali knocked Donald out

Bowe said Hide hit hi the hardest, and took him out in 5 rounds. Vitali did the same job in two rounds.

I'd say that Donald being an unbeaten 27 when he faced Bowe and nearly 36 when he met Vitali might have some bearing on his respective results against them

Like usual you leave out some facts such as Donald was only 16-0 when he meet at 34-1 Bowe.

I never met Rhas Al Ghul, but like many others, he's six's and seven's over you.

Donald was in ideal shape for this match at 225 1/2 pounds.

Later on, Donald was robbed vs. Valuev

He was also 8 years older and had picked up 2 losses along the way.

I watched both fights. Looking up boxrec doesn't really give you any indication on who fought a better Donald.

Donald was prime against Bowe. He was shot against Vitali.

You can clearly see he had no legs left when he faced Vitali . Against Bowe he was moving all around the ring forcing Bowe to chase him down all night long. When you are past prime , the legs are the first to go.

Yes , shot Donald arguably beat Valeuv , so did 50 year old Holyfield.

If your paying attention 35 ( Donald's age when he fought Vitali ) isn't too old these days if the fighter is in shape at heavyweight and hasn't taken a beating. 225 for Donald = in shape. Vitali was 31. So a four year age difference here.

I have no idea what you're referring to when you say 8 years older.

Vitali was the only man to stop Donald, and I think the only man to floor him. There's the value of the win.

How much older was Wlad than Joshua? Now that's a big age difference.

Bowe was slow and looked horrible. Donald pretty much gave away the fight by moving and occasionally throwing punches. Bowe's manager made them fight in an 18 x 18 ring, a huge advantage for Bowe.

The fight is best remembered for what happened before and a funny moment in the ring. Before the fight, Bowe sucker punched Donald in the face. Twice. During the fight, Bowe split the back of his trunks, exposing a rather large rear end.

This is arguably Riddick Bowe's third best win unless you like either of the DQ wins over Golota.

If you lose your anger toward Klitschko, you just might learn Dino!

The legs are the first to go when you are shot.. Donald had NO LEGS when he fought Vitali.

Bowe beat prime undefeated Donald 12 - zero.

"Donald, who likes to dance in the ring, slowed down with every round. He occasionally attacked in small bursts, but he also often stood flatfooted in the later rounds. " 35 for a man who depends on his legs and speed is old.
