We've seen them do it time and time again, changing their angles and their strategy mid fight. Simple Question. Who is better at adapting?

    Hopkins.

Floyd only adapted two times really, against Zab and Mosley.

Did he adjust against chop chop?

He certainly didn't adjust against Oscar, Cotto, or Maidana who kept him on the ropes all night.

And he had no clue how to deal with Castillo in that first fight. Got his a$$ whupped thoroughly

True what you say about Zab and Mosley. What about Hatton?

I guess you only adapt when you need to. Those you mentioned were the ones he started off losing. So what about Hopkins?

Both guys are great at adapting. Mayweather has more in his arsenal though.

Adaptability is all relative Hopkins couldn't adapt to Dawson, Jones jr , Calzaghe and struggled with Taylor. With Floyd he was able to adapt to Judah but Hatton was nevr in his league and Oscar was faded ..So its all relative.

Here's another thing, guys like Mayweather and Hopkins are consistently adapting and making adjustments in every fight. That's the type of fighter they are. They come in with a basic gameplan and adapt to what their opponent is doing.

"Kept him on the ropes" where he continued to comfortably get the best of the action. :yep

Surprised you didn't lump in Ortiz's name.

Off the top of my head I can't recall hops ever ad******g to his opponent after losing the first half only to come back and win.

I'm sure someone can help me remember a single match he had to adjust to win.

My memory says the fights he was losing after 6 he ended up losing the matches

I've never really seen Bhop adjust all that much. Maybe to Pascal but that's about it.

Floyd adjusted famously against Zab and De La and Hatton. Recently, Cotto as well.

definitely Mayweather in this case. Hopkins really was only able to adapt to Pascal and failed to multiple times against other fighters
