Better at Adapting Mid-Fight - Mayweather or Hopkins?

    There are more examples of Mayweather adapting mid fight he simply has more tools because of his speed and athleticism. Mayweather is rarely if ever in the ring with fighters who are faster or more athletic so it's easier for him to adapt because his speed can bail him out if things don't go according to plan.

    Hopkins isn't that fast or hits that hard so is more limited in terms of what he can do, he can't just fall back on his superior natural ability if things get tough. Hopkins also seems to have a clearer idea of what he will do when he steps into the ring. Mayweather is more intuitive and more likely to adapt his strategy as the fight goes along rather then go in with a clear defined plan of action like Hopkins.

    So I'd say Mayweather has proved he is more adaptable.
