better body puncher shane mosley or floyd mayweather?

In Mosley's prime, when he was an offensive uh, I don't now, whirlwind or some other nice metaphor like that, he had a fantastic body attack. But lets be real, he doesn't really go to the body much anymore.

Mayweather uses body punches when they're called for, uses them very effectively, he has throughout his career. So on this alone I would have to say Mayweather wins this one. If we were just comparing them at their primes, maybe Mosley has the better body attack though.

They were different types though. For the most part, Mayweather was more subtle in his bodywork and mixed it in with his upstairs attack (the Judah fight being an exception where Floyd concentrated a lot on the body).

Mosley attacked the body more, well he basically was always a more offensive minded fighter, so he hurt more guys to the body (although Mayweather has dropped or hurt several guys downstairs).

Floyd's style is different. You'll never see him put so much into his body shots like Mosley did versus Golden Johnson.

why did you make this thread an option thread....from what im reading anyone who says mayweather you tell to shut up or call an *******...i know your not a mayweather fan but people are allowed their opinions

 

Floyd is a more precise body puncher, but a prime Mosley went to the body more often as it was a clear/evident part of his great offensive arsenal. He hit harder to the body as well. It's close, but I'd give Mosley the edge.

It's true Floyd can go to the body and get hit less than Mosley, but that is because of his defense. You could say Cory Spinks is a better body puncher than Pipino Cuevas in that sense because he gets hit less when he goes to the body.

 

i personally think mayweather is a more accurate body puncher but mosley hits harder to the body so i suppose i would call it a draw...

 

Shane commits more to the body and he hits harder.
