Better Boxer: Larry Holmes or Floyd Mayweather??

The question asked isn't which he larger/smaller, but which is the better boxing meaning, which has the better and most effective boxing technique?

 

In the jab department, Larry Holmes's jab was one of the best in the business. It was his signature bread and butter punch.

The Holmes jab was better than Mayweather's and the Klitschos jab.
Mayweather has a very good jab, but his jab doesn't inflict heavy damage the way that Holmes's jab did.

Larry Holmes had the kind of jab that was fast, accurate, powerful and could cut up and damage an opponent's face by the middle of the fight.
It's not because Holmes is larger than Mayweather, but because of the way he threw and delivered it, likke Ali.

 

They are both great boxers. Boxing skills transcend weight. It's all relative.
