Love how Boo and Hermit have shown themselves in this thread but can't bring themselves to voting.

Which guy has lost to every top name he faced every time he faced them also? I don't see your point here, bro. Miranda's a real fighter, no doubt. But he's not much of a boxer. A lot more fun to watch though, not that it pertains to any point I've made.

Not sure why I bother. Miranda may not be a great boxer, but when he faced Pavlik he was willing to throw punches. Steward had to goad Wlad into fighting against Chambers. Pavlik had a successful amateur career. He wasn't KO'ing people at that level. You want to believe Wlad is leagues above Pavlik in ability? Fine. Your opinion. He was up a point against Martinez before the cut. It took him a few rounds to figure him out, but he did and out boxed him 5, 6, 7 & 8. Martinez is MUCH better than an overweight Chambers in my opinion.

Boxmaster you are a big idiot and you missed the point, just read the first page. Wlad would certainly not fight the same way if he was 6'0...

We're talking about technical skill, so to me, willingness to mix it up is a complete moot point, Hermit. I prefer to watch Pavlik fights, that doesn't mean I think he's better skilled. While Wlad was being goaded into attacking Chambers more during a complete shutout domination, Pavlik was being goaded into attacking Martinez more while going down on the cards. And why are you in fact bothering to talk about Edison Miranda's willingness to throw punches VS Wlad's willingness to throw more punches than necessary? None of this has anything at all to do with who is more technically skilled let alone between Pavlik and Wladimir.

And saying Martinez is much better than an overweight Chambers is again, a meaningless-if not arguable- point. Chambers was utterly dominated and stopped and Martinez cut Pavlik to **** and beat him. If your intent is to argue Pavlik is in the league of Wlad on a technical level, you're not picking relevant arguments for the most part, that I can see.

OK. Pick and chose the parts you want and ignore the rest. I'm out.

I'm sorry, I love Pavlik as a fighter, I really do. But Vlad is very dominate and underrated in what is still boxing's glam division. There was an argument before the Martinez fight but I'm worried Pavlik is done. I could name 9 fighters between 54 and 75 I would pick over Pavlik if money was on the line.

I don't see how I did that at all. But if you're out, it's of no consequence to me. You want me to also address your statement that Pavlik won decisions in the amateurs or turned the tide midway into the Martinez fight before losing it again? I don't see much to address there, really, bud. It's not really an argument against anything I said. It isn't as if I said Pavlik only won via knockout or had no amateur pedigree or was not a capable boxer. Only that he is not technically on the level of Wladimir in a pure boxing sense. It's really the only point, which I don't feel you've really been addressing yourself. Now you're accusing me of picking and choosing from the things you're saying? Huh.

Yeah, I was slow to pick up on the likelihood of trollness too. I hate it when it goes over my head but how are you supposed to know for sure with all the idiots that really are out there talking seriously?

I'm up on it now. You have to really, really lay it on thick for me to assume you're a troll. I always take the least hopeful assumption that I'm talking to an idiot rather than a troublemaker. :D
