No worries, Im actually an MMA fan. I love Cotto trust me my ex officemate when I lived in NY is boriqua and his son is my Granchild. Ive been to El Yunque that should tell you.

Im merely stating a point..skills, abilities..this goes hand in hand..its that simple. If I was able to play a piano concierto at the age of 7, I would be called naturally talented a prodigy...if someone asked you, "hey was that child phenom good? youd answer, yes he had mad skillz

How often have you seen me argue about Pac here? Im more of an MMA fan, you would know. I just told you I scored the fight 114-113 JMM.

You probably see me in ESB Tambayan and you made that assumption.
You are so wrong, admit it and apologize

Hes gotten better at those no doubt.

This is called learned skills...as compared to natural skills such as speed, quickness, reflex, strength

I understand where your coming from but in my opinion even if Cotto had the same amount of power as Juan Diaz has in a pound for pound sense I would still think Cotto is the more skilled/better fighter overall.

    You're actually mad!

I don't consider the term "*******" to be degrading, just funny. I'm not accusing you of anything man, I did think however that you are a fan of Pacquiao. Chill out, no worries.

See you cant do it like that. These are all hypothesis. I can go back to you and say that Cotto gets hit quite alot, wheres the skill there. Everyone has a different skillset, you can pick holes forever.
You have to take everything into consideration, the whole skillset, the sum not the parts. Both Pac and cotto produces results but as of now Pac produces better results because of better skills both natural and learned.

I think we are getting confused with the term Natural athlete/being giftedl and technique

The term "natural" is sometimes associated with Roy Jones or a BJ Penn because things (fighting) seem to come so easy for them. Jones is super fast..thats actually a skill, but he was coined a naturally gifted athlete because he got away with some of the things other fighters couldnt get away with. Is Roy Jones a great technical fighter, heck no! BJ is the same with his flexibility and balance, thats a skill!

Pacquaio has incredible skills but sometimes shabby technique especially compared to a JMM..or even Cotto.

If the TS asked who has better techniqe, then Id say Cotto has a little edge. But he asked skills.

Does the name Bernard Hopkins ring a bell?

The man wasn't fast, heavy handed, quick in foot...none of that ****. He was all skill and mental games.

    Maybe James Toney...
Heavy Handed a bit, but the guy didn't excell in ****. Another skilled fighter.

Yea...those guys didnt excell in **** BUT skill.

Try again you lame ****! :bart

ON A SIDE NOTE: Juan Diaz aint **** but aggressive output. He lacks a jab, movement, straight punches, outside game. As a matter of fact, that comparison was ****in' horrible. If anything, Juan Diaz is a faster aggressive and feather fisted version of Juan Urango.

Lol I knew you would mentioned that. Are you insunuating that Bernard didnt have power, timing and great reflexes? This guy certainly have no cardio. Oh by the way the man is fighting great at his age, hmmm seems to me not so ordinary.. Oh yeah I forgot, hes in great shape coz he doesnt smoke:lol:

Toney certainly had bad reflexes, hes only one of the great defensive fighters of a generation. He was feather fisted as well.

These guys have no inborn talent or physical attributes that enabled them to be at the top of the boxing world...they are all skills. well whoop de damn doo, lets all practice boxing 6 hrs a day, we'll all get the same results, we can be like a BHOP:lol:

uhhhh... what???? i dont understand this post whatsoever. juan diaz has ****ing GREAT movement and he's a fantastic counter-puncher off that movement. he has fine outside game when he wants to, he's just a pressure fighter and likes to war it out inside. the guy was in a war with the p4p #2 for christ sakes and held is own far better than a juan diaz YOU just described ever could.

hopkins not fast or quick and toney doesn't excel in ****? man, i'm lost.

if you could do a lot with your hands in the ring
if you could punch the **** out of bigger guys
if you could out speed almost all of your opponents
if you could move around the ring so well
if you could turn your opponents around after you punch him in the face
and if you did not get hit virtually on almost all the rounds of your last three fights
then god damn!!!:hey u have boxing skills

to make it simple, it's pac:happy
