nutnut As soon as you used words like "old" and "shut" you proved how bias you are and your thread lost any credibility. You could also say Mosley used steroids to beat a few of those, even if he says it was only against DLH. Now let me add something else. Trinidad could have done much more @ WW if he wanted to, but he decided to go 154lbs. I WAS OK WITH THAT. But then he went to 160lbs He had no business going there. Tito is tall but he doesn't have a big frame. His legs are too skinny. He did it because he was competing against DLH to see who's legacy was going to be superior. That was a stupid move. At 147lbs Tito would have destroyed Margo in 5 rds and Mosley in 10rnds. I do recognize that Mosley patience and dedication is paying off. And he is writing a whole new chapter in his carreer. A chapter where neither Tito or DLH fit in.
---- Let's check the top10 contenders (Ring magazine) they beat: -Trinidad: Maurice Blocker, Luis Gabriel Garcia, Yori Boy Campas, Oba Carr, Hector Camacho (old), Pernell Whitaker (shot), Oscar de la Hoya. Loses: None. -Mosley: Wilfredo Rivera, Oscar de la Hoya, Shannan Taylor, Antonio Diaz, David Estrada, Luis Collazo, Antonio Margarito. Loses: Forrest x2, Cotto. To favour Mosley, you could say that he was still competitive at 37 years old; that he clearly beat De la Hoya, etc. The problem is that he wasn't consistent at 147. Trinidad, on the other side, was consistent from 1994 to 1999, while having the IBF belt and being the #1 contender (Whitaker was the lineal champ). The problem is that a lot of those title defenses were against shitty competition. Trinidad didn't beat much more top10 contenders than Mosley (7 for both). Mosley has probably the better wins (DLH, Margo). But Tito was more consistent and undefeated.
Trinidad defended his IBF title about 17 or 18 times( against dangerous mandatories), left the division unbeaten and beat several top 10 fighters at 147, his resume at 147 remains one of the best. If Mosley was to beat Clottey and Cotto, then that might change but as of now, Titio's is better.
I've gotta go with my boy tito4eva and say Trinidad has had the better career at 147. You cant argue with 16 straight title defences. P4P though its Mosley for me 100%.
I'd rank Tito higher at 147 but Shane higher as an ATG...The man was 32-0 30kos as a lightweight...at WW 2 men have beaten him...Shane has the opportunity still to surpass Tito with a couple of names and maybe a unification!
Wow this is a really funny post. Trinidad's resume pre 1999 sucked? 17 straight defenses? Undefeated. in 1994 KO'ing Oba Carr who was 32-0, a guy who DLH faced in 1999. In 1994 brutally KO'ing Yori Boy Campas who was 56-0 , a guy who DLH faced in 2003. Beat Camacho in 1994 , a guy who DLH beat in 1997. Maurice Blocker, Larry Barnes who had only one loss, Kevin Lueshing who had only one loss, Ray Lovato only one loss. In 1999 Pernell Whitaker then DLH. You must be another frustrated Oscarsexual mad at your father Felix. LOL. Cheers sweetie.
 Ok. I have Trinidad higher, but not by much. If Mosley beats a couple more welters (Clottey, maybe Cotto rematch, Berto) I'll rank him higher than Tito.
Tito no doubt about it. He was undefeated at welterweight and if he would have stayed at 154 lbs and retired. He would have been considered one of the best ever for sure. That was ruined with the loss to b-hop then the loss to winky and roy jones.
Tito's win over Oscar is highly suspect. Shane's wasn't. In the second fight Shane had with Oscar he was schooled imo, but it was a lot closer, IMO, then Hoya vs Trinidad.
