How on earth was that an awful stoppage? Lewis was still stumbling into the ref as he reached the count of ten. Was the ref supposed to side step him and let Lewis stumble back into the fight... or just hold Lewis upright until he was ready?
Lennox Lewis by miles. There are 3 or 4 British fighters I would rank above Calzaghe but he is top 5.
Lennox never lost in America so going to the USA had nothing to with his defeats. pseudo prime Tyson ducked Lewis post prison sentence and the fight with Holyfield was on the cards but Lennox lost to Mccall and had to rebuild. Lennox beat them all and was only missing Bowe who was to chicken to fight him.
He was capable of continuing - he was walking forward and the ref got far too close to him... His guard was up and his eyes were fine. Guys have been allowed to continue when in a much worse state.
All your post are about the Klit and you dont even vote in the poll, so make us a favor and move on to another Klit thread.
I'm a big LL fan but I don't think I agree with that first line.I think he stumbled into the ref.I think his eyes/head was clear but his legs weren't there. He could've continued but can't blame the ref when a fighter falls into you
If a fighter is stumbling into the ref at the count of 10... the fight needs to be stopped. It's as simple as that. Lewis should be happy that the fight was stopped. Honestly, it's much easier to come back from that, than what would have happened had they let him back into the fight to be battered. It's not a big deal. This is heavyweight boxing, and when big men exchange punches... it isn't uncommon for a lesser fighter to beat a better fighter on any given night.
Clearly those are the only threads that you participate in... because I actually talk on ALL different fighters, as well as the lounge. I actually used to be very active in the classic forum before it became watered down with "Fighter A vs Fighter B, who wins?" You have nothing to offer, stop embarrassing yourself.
I understand your point, but I feel he was capable of continuing. Much more so than he was against Rahman anyway
No problem. Many people feel that Lewis could have continued against McCall. I have never understood why. Can't argue with that last sentence though.:good
What is embarrassing me is to see you always bash on Lewis and always hyping Wlad. In fact i was only a boxing fan and a thread lurker but i was so tired to read your ****, i now have no choice now but try to be like you, a super keyboard warrior.
Only because he cant give Lewis any credits and he knows that his carrer is better. Lewis at the top of his game was seen as a real danger for anyone in the division. I dont recall Joe being called a real danger. The way he fought and the opposition he met give Lewis the edge for the career achievements.
