IMO both Marg and Cotto would be Floyd's toughest fight. Also, I think both of them have a good shot at beating Floyd. I know I'm going to get criticized for this but I think Marg has a better chance at beating Floyd than Cotto does. First off, Marg's size and pressure would cause a lot of problems for Floyd. I think one of the few ways to beat Floyd is too outwork him, which Marg could certainly be able to do. Marg's 100 pounches per round would be a little too much for Floyd IMO. He would pound Floyd to the body and keep coming forward the entire fight. I think we would all agree that Cotto is superior to Marg in power, skill, and speed...but Marg has better conditioning, chin, and has a big size advantage. Also, Marg's power isn't a joke. I think he could prolly hurt Floyd in the later rounds. Keep in mind that Floyd WOULD NOT be able to hurt Marg. He would throw his best chots at Marg but Marg would keep coming. The size, chin, and most importantly the conditioning would give Marg a win over Floyd IMO. Cotto would also be a good fight with Floyd, but I think Marg would have a better chance at defeating Floyd. Tell me what you think.
cotto. far more versatile, far better jab. margo may be a bit stronger, but stylewise, this clearly points to cotto. and before i forget: cotto is much faster. fast enough to give floyd fits.
i'd say Cotto. Oh, the only people who will criticize you are Floyd nuthuggers. they will say neither fighter can touch Floyd. They believe Floyd can beat anyone in boxing history by KO. they even believe he KO's the big show so he is untouchable.
Well i am a Floyd fan AND a Cotto fan so i try to be as neutral as possible. I think Cotto has a better chance at beating Floyd. Cotto has improved A LOT in terms of boxing skills. His jab, footwork and defense are very different than lets say when he fought Ricardo Torres. Floyd against Margarito will be similar i think to the Mayweather-Baldomir fight (Although Baldomir is NO MARGARITO). Mayweather will potshot his way to an easy victory. Margarito hits like a mule but he has slow foot and hand speed. And his defense isnt that good. Watching him and Cintron last night i felt i was watching it in slow motion because after watching a Floyd fight Mayweather is to damn fast compared to Margarito or Cintron. Cotto speed is also underrated. I think still Cotto-Mayweather is the ultimate battle to see but i think im going to get bashed here i think Floyd will decision Cotto in a great fight. jlrivera81 your avatar is the ****! its awesome. you know where i can get that picture?
Floyd UD over Margo similar to Baldomir who wants to see a marathon Floyd will "never" fight Margo he already turned down 8 millions he does not match well vs a taller,stronger pressure fighter. Floyd vs Cotto is more complex and will split the fan base forum I see Cotto improvement with everyfight based in the quality of opposition while Floyd is going the easy way out looking for undersize and burned fighters sooner or later these distraction will evaporate and he will have to face the reality fight the top dogs or continue the new career on the WWF.
Cotto, but Margo would be a stern test as well. Margarito would pose all sorts of problems and no I don't think he's comparable to Baldomir. Mayweather is very beatable at this weight range IMO, but it's too bad he's only looking for a pay date with the semi-retired Oscar.
