I also have a gut feeling that GGG has a steel jaw, but it hasn't yet been tested against a good puncher. He fought a couple of good punchers but neither of them managed to land a good flush punch on GGG's chin.

Chavez has taken countless flush punches on the chin from pretty good punchers like Andy Lee and Sergio Martinez, and he was never hurt.

Froch took flush punches from Kessler for 24 rounds and never went down (although his legs buckled pretty visibly). He also took some good ones from Abraham. But he was knocked down by Jermain Taylor and George Groves.

I have to give Chavez the benefit of the doubt and vote for him. He hasn't been on the canvas, and his chin has gone through a better gauntlet than GGG's chin has.:deal

Definitely not Froch, Groves I and JT fight prove this. I would have to go Chavez Jr because we haven't seen GGG take a big shot on the chin yet.

Its a tough thing to call, as Froch has in my opinion, fought bigger hitters and is also getting on a bit for the tough sport.
I dont know why and I have no reason that I can site on, but I for some reason think Chavez would be able to take the biggest shot of all, but I admit that I have no sensible reason to draw that conclussion.

Froch more proven, I don't mind he has been rocked hard and dropped it's going to happen to even the best chins if you fight a decent level of opposition..Chavez good but his advantage seems to be in dwarfing his opponent. Maybe a bit of speculation with Triple Gizzle, he really hasn't been tested in that department. Nothing wrong with it so far.

To me Chavez jr takes it imo. His chin has been tested to the fullest just acting like a punchbag for 11½ rounds against Maravilla.
Froch's leading here, but I just can't see him stay upright all the time taking that kinda punishment.
I'm certain he beats both jr and that Maravilla to a bloody pulp, but that's because he's a much better fighter as Chavez and too big too powerful for Martinez.

On the GGG matter, it's certainly very good, but less proven because he just doesn't take the punishment Froch and certainly Chavez have due to a much better defence and skillset.

    So...
Chavez jr = Never went down despite getting brutalized.
Froch = Went down a couple of times taking heavy blows in total wars.
Golovkin = Never went down, but is so much better as all his opponents in the pros but also has that incredible amateur run.

I think groves is capable of dropping Chavez jr aswell. Groves has pretty good power and he is a big 168lber.

Froch has a very good chin, but you Brits blow it out of proportion because he's one of the few British fighters who doesn't have a glass jaw.:!:

Any shot that has knocked any Brit out ever, would knockout most fighters across the globe. :deal

I agree with most here. Chavez Jr has shown to have a top level chin and Froch definitely has a solid chin too, though he has been rocked and gone down - to big hits it must be said. I've never seen Golovkin hurt, but he hasn't taken hits as hard as the other guys.

On a side note - do people considering hitting the deck or wobbly legs as having a weak jaw? I've seen people say "he's been down x times, no jaw" but that fighter wasn't hurt, just floored. Whereas some fighters have been chicken legged several times in a fight without going down. Just intrigued as to what people state as a weak jaw

That's one thing I always say too.
If you just look at KD's per # of fights, guys like Frazier would have a glass jaw just for the number of times he hit the canvas. While he got up multiple times from blows that would have instantly put others to sleep.
