Better chin: McCall or V.Klitschko

Pele Reid is a kickboxer and he wasn't even knocked down by Maskaev. That was BS made up by Dennis Rappaport to hype a potential Maskaev - Vitali fight. Maskaev was forced to fight Peter first instead of Vitali hence we never got to see Maskaev fight Vitali because Peter KOed him. Vitali's corner stopped it in between rounds.

He hasn't been knocked down as an Amateur or pro Boxer.

There is no way anyone can say either fighter had a better chin.

 

McCall´chin is simply so much more proven, it´s hard to vote against him in this poll.

 

Just rewatched the fight, McCall has never been hurt in a boxing match whereas Vitali has by Lewis and Sanders and koed by Pele Ried

Therefor McCall clearly has THE chin.

I personally think Vitali's chin gets a little over rated, with his height and defensive skills he doesn't really get hit much at all and when he has against big hitters like Sanders and Lewis he was seriously hurt. He has a great chin but with his defensive skills he has never had to take a sustained assault with heavy shots from a big puncher except for the Lewis fight where he was hurt on 3 occasions and forced to hold on for dear life twice. I personally think he would have been KO'ed in that fight had it been allowed to go on as he was so badly hurt in the last round.

His chin is very good but not as good as McCalls or even Mercers chin in his prime. Lewis landed monster uppercuts on Mercer who didn't even blink taking 10 rounds of power shots from Lewis. I'd rate Vitali's chin on a level with the like of Holyfield's or Tyson's both great chins and very hard to KO and impossible to stop with one good shot but a level down from McCall.

McCall's chin is simply the pinnacle and definition of a granite chin. I just rewatched the Seldon fight and he was not hurt, maybe momentarily stunned by walking into a huge right hand from Seldon but hard to tell the only sign he may have been hurt was he held on for a couple of seconds but that could have been easily just a defensive move to prevent any follow up shots rather than being actually hurt. Shortly after taking that right hand in the 9th he was taunting Seldon and then with a barrage of shots dropped him so it's unlikely he was hurt and even if he was we have seen Vitali in a much worse state.

 

The real question is: Who has the better defense/chin combination? Who is harder to hurt if you throw punches at him? Vitali wins this hands down.

 

Vitali fans are among the biggest ******s in boxing. Lewis hurt Vitali with jobs. I think some guy post that ****. Vitali doesn't have better boxing skills or anything else he just avoids fighting people he know can beat him.

 

Lewis was gaseed out against Vitali and his shots were not as powerful as they could of been.
In his best days he cought Holyfield with a brutal uppercut early in the ramatch and it didn't even move him back a step.
An uppercut from Bowe almost knocked Evander out.

Vitali's chin is very overrated. At times he was running like a girl from Byrd who couldn't punch thru the surface of water.

I'm not even sure why there is a debate for this. McCall fought better opposition and was hit a lot more frequently and was never troubled. I don't know what else needs to be said really.

 

Holyfield in the Bowe fight had already taken a lot of shots prior to eating Bowe's uppercut, which is why he dealt with Lewis' better as he was still fresh, had Lewis done what Bowe did and been punishing Holyfield for 9 brutal rounds and then unleashed his best uppercut we might have seen Holyfield effected more by it. But of course Lewis was never than kind of fighter,.

But I concur as stated in my previous post Vitali's chin is over rated slightly, it's very good but can't compare to McCall's.

I think a better comparison to McCall in terms of chin would be Mavrovic, he took some huge shots from Lewis and never looked badly hurt and he did it for 12 rounds. I'd say Mavrovic had a better chin than Vitali.

 

I dunno he was caught using steroids isn't that meant to shrivel your manhood?

Also if the Klits were gifted in the pants area wouldn't Hayden Pantierre be walking around funny? :blood
