True, but being fresh can also mean not warmed enough and susceptible to early knockout.

 

Mavrovic has stronger skin than Vitali as well. Mavrovic went the full 12 with Lewis with no cuts. Vitali went only 6 and was sliced up very bad. His eye was about to fall out.

 

Lewis hit Vitali with much harder shots. Lewis did not as many bombs on Mavrovic, who had a short ring career. Once again, chins are best graded when they are hit. Vitali took direct bombs from Lewis, Sanders, and Hide and did not fall.

McCall we never hit as hard as Vitali was. Ever. In fact McCall said Bert Cooper hit him the hardest.

 

McCall has the better chin no contest. Even if Vitali did have such a good chin his skin is to weak to compete with world class fighters. Combined Lewis was the only world class fighter the Klitschkos faced and Vitalis skin could not even make it 3 rounds before it began to fail. People seem to forget two of Wlads fights were stopped do to Wlads weak skin. Luckly the Klitschko's fought in a very weak era. If they would of fought in the Ali era they would have been called the bleeder brothers.

 

I disagree about the Mavrovic fight. He took numerous flush right hands and several huge uppercuts and this was prime Lewis not the past prime Lewis.

The seventh around alone was brutal. A minute in Mavrovic takes a right uppercut quite similar to the uppercut Lewis landed on Vitali. Near the end of the 7th round Mavrovic has Lewis backed up on the ropes and walks on to an uppercut, left hook, right hand combination and all 3 shots land cleanly. Vitali never had to take a combo like that, he was just taking single hard shots not combinations.

In the 8th Mavrovic takes another uppercut similar to one that Lewis landed on Vitali and also a huge right cross counter over Mav's jab. Mavrovic clearly took more punishment from Lewis yet his chin held up better.

 

His skin held up better as well. Based on that fight Mavronic has a better chin and skin than Vitali.

 

Why is everyone talking about skin when the thread is about chin?

Vitali has a granite chin, PLUS a great defense.

 

You can´t deny the fact, that McCall faced much better opposition than Vitaly, you can´t deny the fact, that Vitaly has much better reflexes and defense than McCall, Vitaly rarely gets hit. McCall took bombs of Lewis without even defending himself in the second fight. I know, you´re one of the hardcore Klitschko fanboy fraction, but even you must admit, that McCalls chin is much more proven than Vitaly´s.

 

We all know who you voted for. His defense is good but against all time greats is not good at all. In only 6 rounds Lewis sliced Vitali's weak skin face up like a thanksgiving turkey. I know you think Lewis used his hair to cut Vitali which is really sad. Lewis won by fair TKO6. Deal with it.
