Better chin, Muhammad Ali or Lennox Lewis?

Lennox would **** himself if he had a tenth of the chin Ali did.

 

It's like asking who had a better chin: Carlos Monzon or Jermain Taylor?

 

At least when Ali fully matured, he had a better chin. Outside of some unforseen occurrence, I don't see him going down from McCall or Rahman. Now, you can argue that Lewis may have had a better chin tham 1960-63 Ali. While I think Lewis would likely plaster Shavers, if Shavers lands one of those bombs on Lewis that he landed on Ali, Lewis could end up the one plastered.

 

I'm going to die on the hill that Ted Cruz has a better chin than prime Holmes.

 

Both had good chins. Lewis survived some big bombs from Briggs, Holyfield, Tua, Bruno, Mercer, Rahman (before that shot).

Ali's was just better. Not just that he never stayed down but how he reacted when hit. He was clear-headed enough after being hit by Frazier to shake his head to the crowd; after Foreman hit him, he had he wherewithal to ask George if that was all he had. He took Shavers' best and kidded around. He didn't just survive big shots. He ignored them and used them o his own psychological advantage.

 

Ali had imo the greatest chin of anyone. Nobody EVER faced the hitters he did without being stopped (Holmes don’t count he wasn’t even knocked out there). I can’t think of anyone that could get by

To answer the question I think Lewis’ chin is very underrated, but no way would Ali ever be 1 punch ko’d by McCall or Rahman.

 

Contrary to popular belief, Lewis actually had a decent chin, the only times he was hurt was the Rahman fight and McCall fight when he was put down and anyone would’ve gone down from them punches everyone goes down when a certain amount of force is hit on the chin, Lewis took huge punches off Klitschko, Mercer and Briggs who were huge punchers and never looked close to going down
