McCall and Rahman could not ko Ali in a million years

Just like there are some people who worship old fights, there are some who irrationally worship new fighters.

Ali's chin is miles better. Miles.

I’m Ali’s biggest fan but I don’t think this is as cut and dried as you think.
Ali obviously had a phenomenal chin, but he also had a great ability to tuck that chin in and ride with punches.
When his chin was exposed to Banks and Cooper admittedly as a young fighter he went down. The Frazier fight was after 15 hard rounds, in each case though he got up and recovered quickly.
To be fair to Lewis after the McCall knockdown he got up and although groggy on his feet he had his guard up and wanted to fight on.
The Rahman one well he virtually invited Rahman to take a free shot, I think that would have taken out most.
The answers Ali, but when you’ve gotten by Tua,Vitali,Briggs,Bruno,Morrison,Mercer,Holyfield,and an admittedly shot Tyson all without a knockdown, I think we can conclude that his chin was pretty sound.

Ali not only had one of the best chins ever but also had amazing recuperative abilities, I do think Lennox chin is slightly underrated, but this is no contest , Ali hands down

 

I’d say most caught him with several of their best. Did you watch the Frazier trilogy? Rumble? Shavers hit him w a bomb that would have decapitated some Fighters. Ali wasn’t as good defensively in his post war career. He unfortunately got hit with the worst bombs ever.
