Better chin: Vitali or Ali

Vitali's face got rearranged in 6 and was flailing all over the ring by the biggest puncher he faced.

If Sanders was elite he probably could of finished him off.
Vitali iron jaw is a myth. He has a good chin , but its overhyped.

That this is even close - although Vitali is in the lead - is absurd.
Many are mentioning the over hyped 70s guys like Liston, Foreman, Frazier, Shavers, Lyle etc. :nono Frazier would get blasted out of the ring by Vitali and many others. Only Foreman would have a punchers chance vs modern HWs. And...

Shavers :huh who was KOd by Quarry AND Ron Stander That he went 15 w/Ali shows what little power and declining skill Ali had at 35. Shavers didn't even have top stamina. Fighters like Shavers (6' 210#) were big punchers by 70s standards. NOT CURRENTLY. Forget Vitali, many top recent-current HWs would beat - some easily - the HWs from the 70s.

This is what some fans do - over hype the 70s to boost those fighters and Ali's mythic status :-(

 

Vitali couldn't blast out Chisora or Arreola but Fraizer gets blasted out of the ring like he's nothing.

Some real clowns with no make up came out in this thread.

Have you checked lately to see how many guys Ali couldn't blast out? A list of bums longer than your arm.

 

Ali had chin?? Don't know .. the only time he fought against serious boxers he got his ass kicked. I only saw fights against bums, who wouldn't even be sparring partners for Tomas Mrazek or Andreas Sidon today .. in a era, where Jason Gavern would be P4P # 1

I think because of his resume it goes to Ali BUT Vitali is an Iron Chinned Warrior that isn't up for debate.

 

Ali fought the bigger punchers and didn't get knocked out.

Ali was knocked down, surely.. but he wasn't knocked spark out like Vitali was against a fellow by the name of Pele Reid.
