If they can healthily make 154 then that's their true home imo.

The guys there are more proven. Most of the guys at 154 are prospects who don't fight each other.

The top 8 at 154 are world class and fights between any of them would be good. The top 20 at 160 is much deeper, so even without GGG makes for the better and more competitive division.

On the page it says "Better competition" on the poll it says "better talent"

To me those are 2 different questions.

In terms of competition, its not even close. Its 154. You have 6 or 7 guys who are all vying for the top spot and theres lots of interesting fights to be made to see who #1 is.

160 has one guy way out in front, which makes it decidedly uncompetitive.

You could argue that talent is much more even, as its not that the other guys in the top 10 at 160 are that untalented, its just that they're not on Golovkins level

154 has a few potential stars that avoid each other like a plague to preserve their status and avoid being exposed.

160 has GGG that is levels above anyone at 154 and 160
Jacobs and Quillin, Lee and Eubank, Sanders and Lemieux.

154 has Charlos and Lara, Jrock and Andadre, Trout and Canelo. Oh , Liam smith since he is signed to fight Canelo.

Saunders is basically Lara, slippery defensive guy with excellent reflexes that does just enough to win. Eubank and Trout are very similar, both strong and hardworking, not amazing at anything but good overall at everything.
Charlos can be compared with Jacobs and Quillin (before kid chocolate got knocked the f out). They are roughly the same, except the 160 guys fight each other and only avoid the top guy - Golovkin. 154 guys avoid each other but are dying to fight the top guy - Canelo.

The guys at 154 are itching to face each other. The guys at 160 are bringing up lower class fighters and aren't even making too much of an effort to fight each other. Things are going to start happening at 154 just keep your eye out.

LMW. Canelo, Lara, Charlo. Serious quality there.

MW is stacked at the top 1. Beneath that it's very questionable.

The 154 division has way more talent than 160. Most of the gents at 160 are at their peak and is pretty much all they can be except for Robert Brant who will be a top flight middle weight if he can get the fights. 154 is boiling over with talent and once those youngsters get their feet planted solid, they will be coming to 160, whether GGG is there or not.
