I'd say Hagler based on the fact he went 15 far more regularly and IMO has a higher output/higher pressure style of fighting. Both have insane stamina tho
Fairly certain Hagler could fight 12 round fight at Mayweather's pace with no problems...remains to be seen if Floyd could fight one at Hagler's for 15 or even 12 but that's not his style and you can't really compare them like that. If pushed harder than he was I do think a prime Mayweather's stamina would hold out no worries...he is a dedicated athlete.
Both trained to exhaustion ... I just believe Mayweather has exceptional stamina above and beyond most ...
Hagler...being from Massachusetts we used to go down to Provincetown at the end of Cape Cod and watch Marvin train. He used to lock himself away down there...no distractions...and work his ass off...running along the beach in all kinds of weather...running in the sand dunes while wearing army boots...etc. Hagler all the way...
Agreed on P Will, I haven't seen enough of Ike to comment. Another honourable mention to the guys at the start of last century who used to fight 30 and 40 rounds in a single fight!
Nonsense. While Hagler did train like a demon, he did drink alcohol between fights and his dedication with nutrition wasn't in Hopkins' league. Hopkins was in supreme condition at 40+ for good reason.
Yea and he only fought about 40 seconds out of each round. He was no whirlwind when he was younger either.
You did, however I questioned it. I'd say that 130 Floyd had better stamina and conditioning than now. Then again, you could argue that floyd doesn't throw as much punches now because of his hands rather than stamina issues.
