Fury is flashier, Canelo is more effective. Canelo is often in a position to counter, and does so regularly. Fury, not so much. Fury's height also gives him an edge. You could say that Fury's defensive skills are more natural, whereas Canelo's are more technically correct. Fury is a bit like Andre Dirrell in his fight with Froch; he makes his opponent look amateurish with his defensive skills, but he doesn't make them pay often enough for their mistakes.
Only 3?! I'd say a good 75 for pure skill but the point I was making I'd that pfp punchers might be better pfp, but in reality Wilder is the best puncher in boxing today and it's not close
Fury because he's generally much taller and longer than his opponents where as Canelo is normally shorter and stockier. Fury gets hit less.
It's kinda like this who's defense was better Pea Whitaker or PBF? Pea Whitaker like Fury looks more flashy and both clowned around more and both got dropped more. PBF and Canelo less flashy but arguably more effective and both don't get dropped. I'd probably say Canelo but both have great defense.
He did & paid the price by getting tagged & dropped twice ... cost him the fight really Even though the bout was already bought & $old. This content is protected
Fury possibly has a better defence but he is much more defensively minded. I'm not a fan of ginger nuts as a person but he has a very good balance of defence and offence which is both effective and good to watch . He's also fought consistently at a higher level than Fury.
canelo was pro when he was 16 yo, when he was 23 he was fighting one of the most talented p4p fighters in history and has fought literally everybody, no matter who or his style or his weight. fury, after 11 years as a pro, his best and only decent win is a 40 yo tired champion. END. Ok.
Canelo. He never got dropped twice by the biggest puncher in his division, despite facing him twice. Canelo didn't start out as a defensive-minded fighter, but his improvements over the past few years have been amazing.
