Mayweather and it's not even closed...if you can't beat them then duck them at all cost. That's the best defense right there.

Mayweather's legs are the deciding factor to me. The mobility/athletic footwork when he wants it. It gives Mayweather another dimension of defense that Toney can't tap into.

Pretty boy and by a landslide. Pretty has the best defense ever. This cannot be denied.

easily mayweather, they have the same style but mayweather is just a better version, more speed, footspeed, abillity to implement the shoulder roll coming forward(mosley fight, early fights) more versatillity. Mayweather took toneys style to a different level

Well Toney is now a punch drunk. His defence skills can't have been as great as PBF's if his health has deteriorated.

Good point, yet he has over 80 odd fights and is fighting at HW these days.

And is 42. And fought a prime undefeated Nunn, prime undefeated RJJ, prime undefeated Griffin and prime undefeated Jirov in four different weight classes.

    Well said.

No denying that Toney was a beast in his day.

At Toney's prime, I thought his shoulder roll defense was better, but since he couldn't stay in shape and keep his weight down, his skills have diminished greatly because of it. That's why he talks like Ken Norton now.

Mayweather has somewhat better footwork, but Toney fights better in the pocket.
