True, Reggie Johnsen was very good at the time, and he was unfortunate to fight in an era with ATGs like Toney or Roy Jones who were still better.

Johnsen is the only man to ever legitimately put Toney on his ass, but not the only one to hurt him. Toney claimed that the hardest puncher he met was Merqui Sosa - at MW, before he became champ - and that Sosa hit him with a punch so hard that it took James three rounds to recover from it. He even said that he had double vision! Being the bad motherf*cka that he is, Toney still toughed it out and won.

Toney does the shoulder roll better, and is a better inside fighter. Mayweater is more athletic, and he's faster. Toney even when he's fat and slow can stand right in front of you and make you hit air with every punch.

Toney used to be really good. Void because he is a chicken, does not want to mess up his feathers, Void's fear keeps him out of harms way most of the time, but if Pac gets hold of Void, well, Void will get his feathers knocked off!!!

floyd has the better overall defense

Toney has problems with fighters who move.

Overall Toney. You have to take into account who hes fought. Mayweather is a great defensive fighter, but I dont see how his defence is better than Toney. His offense is much better than Toney though.

I'l lgo ahead and say TOney is better then Floyd in just about every way , except he doesn't have the speed/athelticm. If Toney was as fast as Floyd he would have been damn unbeatable.

Anyone with better defense than FMJ would get hit about 20 times in a 12 round fight...FMJ has some of the best defense in boxing history. He has gotten hit with less than 15 really big shots in his entire career, and even that might be a slight stretch...

That's bc Floyd potshots and runs. That isn't defense. Defense is being able to make a guy miss, block, or counter. Toney does all those things better then Floyd ... like o said he just doesnt have that athetlicism that FLoyd has. Plus Tony has had over 70 fights and fought well past his prime.

What? Floyd runs? So he was running against Shane Mosley, De La Hoya, Zab Judah, Gatti, and Marquez? Floyd doesn't run. Floyd like to stand in the pocket, make you miss, and counter. The only time I ever saw Floyd run was against Baldomir.

Technically James with out a doubt. James isnt as talented with reflexes and speed but he's a better defensive from a technical standpoint.

Floyd uses his FEET to evade and elude opponents offense. James will sit there right int he pocket and roll, duck, weave and bob creating openings without using his pick stick on the outside.
