Pacquiao closes Chavez' eye(s) just like he did to Diaz, DeLaHoya, Cotto and Maragrito. Pacquiao would hit him just as much as Whitaker did or more.. but Chavez wouldn't last the distance this time.

 

Taylor hit Chavez more than Whitaker. lot of good it did him. Taylor in the end was the one who looked like he was put through the meat grinder.

I'm actually being kind to Chavez, one of my all time favorites, when I mention Whitaker, as far as the amount of punches he'd take. 'Throwin' him a bone. I wouldn't even want to see what would have happened to Chavez if Pacquiao hit him as much as Taylor did. If Pacquiao hit him as much as Whitaker did, as it is, he'd get TKOed.

 

That would happen to the Chavez of the DLH fights for sure. But a prime Chavez? Nope, sorry. Prime Chavez leaves without a mark on his face, and Manny leaves with a swollen face.

On te flipside, If Chavez manages to trap Pacquiao along the ropes, and bang his body like Margo did in the 6th, Pacquiao doesnt last the distance.

 

Chavez + no way Manny can avoid the damage that Chavez will inflict & it goes without saying that it would be a fight for the ages but Chavez grinds Manny down, both are wrecking machines but i can't see Manny surviving the usual systematic Chavez pounding & once he's semi-static then you could see a Rosario conclusion late-on.

 

Pacquiao stayed on the rope against Margarito by choice, Pacquiao could have stayed outside the ropes against Margarito if he wants too. Pacquiao could just decided not go toe to toe like what he did against De Lahoya, but on some occasion he stand toe to toe against Margarito.

Pacquiao would punish Chavez. His style is well suited for Pacquiao, who will use his trademark speed, power and angles against Chavez.

 

You are focusing on the damage that Chavez could inflict which Pacquiao could avoid, but how about the damage that Pacquiao could inflict on Chavez. I think Pacquio with his fast combination, in and out, angles, power and foot speed will inflict more damage on Chavez.

Chavez's style is well suited for Pacquiao. Pacquiao will punish him.
