Maybe not 90% then. But I would expect a majority. Even if you don't agree with putting Chavez ahead of Hagler and Hearns, I can't see a case for putting guys like Basilio, Lewis, Tyson et al ahead of him.
Regardless of the consensus, I think Chavez is generally a bit overrated, more so in terms of his career achievements than his actual skill though. His record is blown up, any way you look at it, and while impressive, his top wins aren't on the level of the majority of the boxers he's considered in league with. The best win of his career was a highly controversial one over Meldrick Taylor, followed by wins over the likes of Rosario, faded version of Camacho and Ramirez, Mayweather, Haugen, etc. Good wins, but when you take into account his competition and the fact that he was gifted a few times throughout his career, he tends to be overrated. Top 20 all time is a big stretch IMO.
Trinidad was overrated in my opinion. Yea he beat Oscar, Vargas, and Whitaker. He had no staying power in the game. Though, I do give him props for not dodging anyone and fighting all comers
I would agree. But the guy was a beast and has still achieved a lot. I wouldn't place him top 20 all-time, but certainly top 35. He would probably rank between 25-29 for me.
H2H you would pick Tito then, p4p=overall, so p4p you say Chavez. h2h Trinidad would very likely win since he is a big welter, and Chavez was a natural light, so that doesn't really count for much.
I mean fantasy H2H, if they were the same size, I think Tito would win but I still feel Chavez is the better overall fighter.
