It seems like he’s only using the Pernell Whitaker fight as an example of Chavez struggling with slick fighters when in reality Chavez has always been great at cutting off the ring and having success with quick mobile fighters before. Camacho for example. Chavez struggling with a special fighter like Whitaker has no bearings with how Chavez usually performs against slick fighters.

    Yeaaaahhh...

This is why I stopped posting on Eastside.

For every knowledgeable poster, there's 6 like you.

Devin Haney beat a prime Chavez?

I don't know whether to laugh hysterically at you, or cry for you.

Haney would be too big for Chavez just like DLH, Chavez never beat a fighter as big as Haney, he would tie Chavez up inside and spoil.

Taylor was beating Chavez and that fight should have been stopped, Haney is a lot bigger than Taylor was and has a reach that`s 5 inches longer.

Camaho was a lot smaller than Haney who has a 71 inch reach.

Taylor was smaller than Haney and Roger was comfortable at 135 while Haney is training down to that weight so he can bully smaller fighters by tieing them up, Roger didn`t clinch with Chavez.

And Haney has a body to pound on just like Taylor did. Chavez would find his way on the inside and rip the body.

What proof you have Haney has glass.jaw? He handled Linares and Kambosos power very well

True but that fight ended in a draw even though Pernell outclassed him

Interesting take. Wouldn't Haney be at 147 back then?
