some poster named Turpentine was saying Diego had a better resume and was greater, so I made the poll. He thinks Diego deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. I do not!!!

This entire thing started from an argument between turbotime and MAG1965 over Mayweather vs Hearns.

It's cool to hype the opposition of your favorite fighters.

In terms of who's the better fighter it's a close call, both stalking punches who were ultimately limited at the highest level, in terms of who achieved the most it's certainly Corrales

No doubt that Corrales had the better wins resume, it's not close either, Cuevas resume is pretty weak

:huh The years Palomino, Benitez, Leonard and Duran were champion, you mean? The years that four other HOFers held the real title? Those years? Yeah, he pretty much dominated the division aside from every other historically important fighter to come through during the time. You sound like Lax, mate.

Cuevas blasted out some decent opposition prior to those guys arrival on the 147 Murder Scene. A fight with Palomino '76-'79 would've been interesting.

:-( Don't you know the rules, yet? Never admit you're wrong no matter what anyone else says, even if it's a verifiable fact, and never admit you don't know every fighter, haven't seen every fight, no matter how great or small, and always mention Duran (which you'll notice I did). There are other rules. I'll have to explain them later, I suppose. :verysad

Some decent opposition, for sure. And had Palomino, Benitez, Leonard, Duran and Hearns never existed, he'd have been a fairly dominant welterweight champion who defeated all the elite welters of his era. :yep Awesome fighter anyway. :thumbsup
