Jones was more physically gifted. SRL was more skilled and the better fighter.

Someone ought to start a poll, it will give the Roid freaks something else to click on, instead of their di cks.

Something like that, but I wouldn't say there was that much between them 15 and 50 as far as cherry picking goes.

I don't think you are giving Roid anything like enough credit in that department. ;)

If Jones ended his career after Ruiz he would be ranked top 15-20 all time, funny how srr could get whooped well past his prime yet his legacy was never diminished but rjj did the same and he just drops and drops, historians well and truly having old fighters ****s in their mouths

In regards to the op, I would personally give the edge to Srl, could brawl and box with equal effiency

I give MORE credit to Roy for fighting the top 2 Lt heavies (Tarver & Johnson) so late in his career.

Don't ever compare any point of Roy's career to Sugar Ray Robinson.

    Subjective nonsense.

Jones is arguably top 1 of all-time on ability.

Leonard was thoroughly outboxed for 12 rounds by Hearns. But Sugar Ray did have a decent chin, decent toughness and decent punch for a welterweight.

Duran was his daddy in Montreal though.

Leonard was Duran's daddy in New Orleans and Las Vegas :hi:

    Leonard knocked Hearns out

Hearns knocked Duran out in 2 rounds. :yep

Prime Roy Jones to boxing was more or less what Michael Jordan was to basketball.
