I picked Alexander based mainly on the Witter fight and on the very little I've seen on him he looks to be class. He did a far better job of outscoring and out timing Witter, seems faster. The Urango display was better than Hatton and Berto managed Bradley-Alexander would settle it
I think their both very close right now, i prefer Bradley and think he is the more solid fighter slightly. But what a rivalry this can be should they go undefeated for the next year and a half or so lol.... Its quite nice seeing how 140's new era is coming into its own Bradley, Devon, Khan, Ortiz, Valero (hopefully soon at least), among the established vets in the division makes this to me one of the most exciting divisions.
Tim Bradley. Bradley is what you would call a natural fighter. The guy is just so smooth out there. The sport comes naturally to him which is one reason he is able to improve so fast. No matter what, he always stays focused out there. Devon is pretty talented, but he's more welll taught rather than being a natural fighter.
if they go undefeated in the next year and a half or so there is a serious problem because these guys should be focused on fighting each other next
IMO, Don King should put off a Bradley fight until the fall. Alexander is coming off his biggest win. I think his next fight should be in his hometown against a mando. or maybe Zab Judah. I think Devon deserves a defense in his hometown against a lesser opponent than Bradley. The Cayo/Maidana winner, or even the Ortiz/Campbell winner would be sufficient as well.
Bob Arum wants to spend years building up a fight(aka, protecting one guy). I'm not even talking about that. I'm talking about giving the kid a well deserved hometown event. This would be like a homecoming game college football. You don't schedule a homecoming game against the hardest opponent out there.
I favor Bradley because ultimately I think he'd outfight Alexander on the inside and, as someone else noted, has superior strength. Basically, I think Bradley physically could put Alexander in spots that would make him uncomfortable. Damn close, though. I really like both guys. It's probably too early for this fight, as it deserves to be a major HBO headliner. Alexander/Judah is a fight you definitely could sell to fans in St. Louis.
I agree. I'd like to see Alexander hand Judah yet another TKO loss. Then he can fight Bradley and the winner could go in against Maidana (great fight)/Khan/Hatton/Pac/etc. I think this will be another great year for boxing. :happy
LOL! Without question it's Tim. Urango was landing at will against Devon. It was hardly an impressive performance from Devon until the uppercut. Sorry.
