better fighter today? Mijares or Calzaghe?

    I think Joe is on the decline. Mijares is smack in his prime and very fast and skillful. For me, Mijares edges Joe now. Maybe not a year ago, but today, and with Joe at LightHeavyWeight, then yes.

    Lets get some discussion going on this. Mijares has recent wins over Arce, Navarro, and Munoz. Calzaghe has Lacy, Kessler, and Hopkins.

    I think Mijares is overall better, and even though Calzaghe is a shade past his best, I don't know if Calzaghe was ever better than Mijares all-around (although it's a close call)

    As it is, Calzaghe has done more and for the moment I rate him a spot higher (I"m a big fan of Mijares, I have him at #4 P4P).

    I voted for Mijares, as I think he is less prone to make unnecessary mistakes. On an ace night they both sparkle like shining diamonds, but I give a slight edge to Mijares. But a true tough call right now.
