I was just watching Linares vs Demarco to get a sense of what Broner would have to go threw to win against Demarco.

Linares' speed was looking real impressive in that fight (single shot). His footwork was impressive also. He might have a lot of problems but those two aint one of them.

Anyway who has better footwork/single shot speed. Broner or Linares

I'm sure Broner is more talent at the moment. Not sure he is more athletic though. What ya think.

What has Linares' "speed and footwork" done for him?

He is the epitome of "all show and no go".

A simple thread about speed, and footwork turns into a hate thread. I know it has done nothing for Linares, but it was a simple question.

Linares has many very impressive athletic gifts that just make boxing fans salivate at the thought of what could have been. He is also so flawed for a fighter with those gifts it's almost unbelievable. But that's what he is - all highs and lows without any middle ground.

I think Linares has better footwork, speed, and grace than Broner. Matter of fact he might be at the pinnacle of boxing in those categories. But Broner is hands down a better fighter who should beat Demarco at least 8-4.

Linares has the better footwork and speed.

Linares also has the paper face and the china chin.

His accumulated lead against DeMarco is now looking more impressive...from what I remember, there was a lot of lateral movement, combination punching, and side-step counter-punching (all JMM-like traits)...but the question here isn't really whether Broner is going to out-maneuver DeMarco, but whether he's going to catch him consistently as he comes in and control the distance. I think Broner has the superior power and equal quickness, he's just more devastating when he lands an accurate single shot or couple of punches. But DeMarco does have quite a chin on him and may be able to wreak havoc on the inside on Broner and reach him in ways he couldn't Linares.

Interesting thread! I'll have to watch more footage to review the idea.

Linares and Broner have comparable speed but Broners power will be the difference make here. Broner will KO Demarco

Broner beat him down in sparring. not a real fight, but it counts for something.
