Who do you give the edge in footwork right now? Really hard to separate the two honestly.

Rigo, because pressure bust pipes and Vasyl got his pipes busted Mexican Style by Salido.
You can't ignore the fact that he loss already to what was considered at the time an inferior opponent. It was like the 1936 Olympics in Germany and Salido was Jessie Owens.

Lomachenko has the edge since we've seen more of him at the top level. But Rigondeaux makes an unorthadox style work well.
Pressure breaks fighters down. Vasyl ended that fight with Salido struggling to survive 12. Vasyl is a fighter who is comfortable staying in the pocket for extended periods of times and drawing an opponents attack out to counter it. I don't think he has a problem with pressure.

Rigondeaux has a had style to gauge. He's very unorthodox. He does things which you are taught not to do in gyms and he makes his opponents look foolish doing it. You're going to have a hard time comparing apples to oranges. However, if it's hard to separate two fighters defense capabilities than I'm going to give my vote to the one who's more active offensively and spends more time exchanging.

Lomachenko's footwork is much fancier and more aesthetically pleasing. Rigo's isn't as fancy but his positions himself extremely well.

Lomachenko by far!!! I have never seen such footwork, remember, he took off time to work on his feet, dancing lessons and look what happened! Lomachenko beat Salido, Lawrence Cole helped Salido, Salido was hitting on the break, hitting behind the head, hitting after the bell, hitting low, yet Cole did nothing. Lomachenko had Salido out on his feet.................Salido does not want to rematch Lomachenko because he knows he will get knocked out............

I would probably say Loma actually. But not by any real margin. We're talking about right now I assume, so I have to take the Salido fight into account but also that he's looked better since then too. Same way I have to take into account that Rigo got put on his ass by Amagasa because he scuttled around him like a ****ing crab. Over their last few fights, Loma has just mixed at a better level than Rigo has.

They both have A level foot work but the Loma fanboys will say its not even close because they think he's the first guy to ever side step and pivot around his opponents.

Lomachenko by a ****ing mile. Rigo came out the womb doing the moonwalk, looks great but I don't think he has taken a forward step in his life.
Rigo got put on his arse 3 times in his career! Lomachenko's footwork is too good to get knocked down by bums

Rigo. Loma's movements look beautifully but they are not always that effective.

Loma's is way more entertaining for masses. Just like Justin Bieber music. It doesnt matter it is the best.

Loma has the better footwork but as Willie said, the response to pressure with his footwork is underwhelming.
Rigo however, goes down as often as a $30 hooker and walks into bigger shots.

Loma > Rigo in footwork department.
